Information Minister: Regional, U.S.-Israeli Scheme in Last Throes

DAMASCUS, (SANA) – Information Minister, Omran al-Zoubi, stressed on Monday that the regional U.S.-Israeli scheme in Syria "is in the last throes and it has clinically been terminated."

During a reception held by Top News Network under the title "the Day of the Two Victories" at Dama Rose Hotel in Damascus, Minister al-Zoubi said, "We have to be assured that we are heading towards the final victory," pointing out that the final victory is for Syria and all Syrians.

He added, "The political solution among the Syrians means that all sides agree on a brilliant and great future for their country… the political solution means that we agree on common denominators that protect the homeland and its constitution, sovereignty, independence and army."

Al-Zoubi pointed out that the important matter is what we should do inside Syria and how we could refrain the enemies and killers from benefiting from the repercussions of the crisis and what it has produced.

"We should work on protecting children and heal their psychology along with upgrading the reality on ground at all levels," he added.

The Information Minister renewed assertion that foreign terrorists will be hunted, as politicians who committed sins against Syria and its citizens will be punished now or in the future in any place worldwide.

Al-Zoubi pointed out that Syria is a reproductive nation , as it is unbreakable where there will always be leaders and heroes in all domains.

For his part, Deputy Foreign and Expatriates Minister, Dr. Fayssal Mikdad, pointed out that Syria's battle is against the international and regional enemies par excellence, adding that "Syria is exposed to an Israeli war in every sense of the word perpetrated by U.S. European and Arab tools."

Mikdad, pointed out that what Syria is going through is an Israeli war performed by US-European- Arab hands.

He stressed that the Syrians are just around the corner of victory of their country along with Palestine and Arabism, pointing out that no one can deviate Syria from the principles it believes in, which were fortified by the Syrians in every cell they have.

Mikdad lauded the role of the Syrian journalists as a basic part in the battle, expressing pride of the sacrifices they offer, the most recent of which is the Martyrdom of Yara Abbas, as they know that they are 'martyrs –to- be' awaiting this moment.

The Deputy Foreign Minister saluted the great sacrifices offered by the Syrian brave army, clarifying that the members of this institution make history, as they will defeat the enemies with their own blood which will produce the present and draw the future of Syria.

Member of the Regional Leadership of al-Baath Arab Socialist Party, Shahinaz Fakoush, stressed that the Syrians are today achieving "free independence for free and independent Syria and freedom for the people who have lived in security for half a century."

Shahinaz Fakoush, pointed out that Syria is much more bigger than its own geographic dimensions, as it is also larger than history written about it, having depicted the epics of the Arab Nation.

She considered that what Israel is doing against Syria is a reaction after it had been defeated in South Lebanon and Gaza, and it is still suffering from the victories of the Syria people.

In turn, Grand Mufti of the Republic, Dr. Ahmad Badreddin Hassoun, said, "After twenty five months of sedition, we stand today on the start of the way and the end of a stage."

He added, "President Bashar al-Assad called for dialogue and reform months ago, and he talked in his speech about issues more than Geneva will give them … why then they were satisfied with Geneva and refused to come to their homeland even after they were told to come to change the constitution."

Hassoun wondered about the reason behind the presence of more than 70 satellite channels being paid for spreading sectarianism in the region.

For his part, Bishop Louqa al-Khouri said that the west wants to destroy Syria in service of Israel, stressing that Syria will not fall and it will remain steadfast thanks to the Syrian Arab Army and the unity of its people.

"No matter how much other countries tried to harm Syria they will fail, and no one could pluck the Syrians out of their homeland," he added.

Head of News network Top News, Nasser Qandeel considered that the standards of triumph and defeat in wars do not coordinate with ceasefire, expressing confidence that the days of the war launched against Syria are few.

He clarified that enemies of Syria were using the discourse of escalation, but now they are begging Russia for a solution.

Director of Media Affairs at the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine- General Command, Anwar Raja, pointed out that honoring Palestine is actually honoring Syria, and Palestine has no meaning without resistance, adding that the Syrian Arab Army gives an example to follow in the meaning of resistance.
