Terrorists Target Residential Areas in Lattakia and Damascus Countryside, 8 Citizens Martyred

PROVINCES, (SANA) – Seven citizens were martyred and other were injured after an armed terrorist group launched two Mortar shells on Jaramana city in Damascus Countryside.

A source at the Police headquarters said that 7 were martyred and 25 were injured in the attack.

Citizen Martyred, Four Injured in Terrorists' Rocket Attack in Lattakia 

A citizen was martyred and four others injured after terrorists fired a locally-made rocket on residential area in Slinfah in Lattakia countryside. 

An official source told SANA reporter that the rocket was fired from Lattakia's northern countryside, adding that the attack also caused material damage. 

Terrorist Bombing Targets Greater Umayyad Mosque Minaret in Aleppo

Terrorists from Jabhet al-Nusra detonated explosives in one of the minarets of the  Greater Umayyad Mosque in Aleppo city.

An official source told SANA that terrorists placed highly explosive materials in the minaret and the mosque's southern door and set them off.


Terrorists Assassinate Training Director at Electricity Ministry 

Terrorists on Wednesday assassinated Director of Qualification and Training Department at the Ministry of Electricity Eng. Mohammad Abdul-Wahab Hassan, in Damascus. 

SANA reporter said Eng. Hassan was seriously injured in a blast of an explosive device the terrorists had earlier attached to his car near the First Technical, Commercial and Banking Institute in al-Baramkeh area. 


The reporter quoted a health source at al-Muwasat Hospital as saying that Eng. Hassan was martyred due to his severe injury.

The Army Continues to Strike Hard on Terrorists

PROVINCES, (SANA)- A unit of the armed forces on Wednesday clashed with a terrorist group that tried to attack military posts in Harasta city in Damascus Countryside, killing and injuring all of its members, a military source told SANA reporter. 

The source added that tens of terrorists were killed in the operation, adding that the terrorists burned the dead bodies. 

Large Numbers of Terrorists Killed in Homs 
 In Homs city, the army units carried out several operations against terrorists' hideouts and gatherings and eliminated scores of them in the areas of al-Qarabees, al-Khalidiyeh neighborhoods. 

A military source said that the army killed scores of terrorists after targeting their hideouts in the towns of al-Haydariyeh, al-Hamidieh, al-Ish, al-Dab'a, al-Bweida al-Sharqiyeh, al-Dmeineh al-Gharbiyeh in al-Qseir countryside and Ein al-Dananir and al-Dar al-Kabira in al-Rastan countryside. 

The source added that an army unit eliminated scores of terrorists near al-Ghanto crossroads, among them were Ahmad Karmo al-Dheik, Jihad Nasser and Mohammad al-Daqqa. 

Terrorists' Gathering Targeted in Idleb 

The army targeted a terrorists' gathering in Jisr al-Shughour countryside in Idleb and killed scores of the terrorists who were hiding in it. 

Jabhat al-Nusra Terrorists Targeted in Aleppo 

The armed forces carried out a series of special operations targeting Jabhat al-Nusra terrorists in Aleppo countryside which resulted in destroying many of their dens and gatherings. 

An official source told SANA reporter that the army targeted the terrorists' gatherings in the villages of al-Ziyareh and Deir Jamal, noting that many terrorists were killed and scores of others were injured in the operations. 

Armed Forces Continue Operations in Aleppo, Eliminate Scores of Terrorists 

Units of the Armed Forces continued their operations against dens and gatherings of the armed terrorist groups in Aleppo city and countryside.

An official source told SANA reporter that the Armed Forces targeted terrorist gatherings in several areas in Aleppo countryside and inflicted heavy losses upon the terrorists.
On Damascus-Aleppo Highway, an army unit clashed with an armed terrorist group and eliminated all its members.

In Aleppo city, the Armed Forces continued targeting terrorist gatherings and killed scores of them.  

 Armed Forces Eliminate Terrorists in Homs and Idleb 

Units of the Armed Forces destroyed a number of terrorist gatherings and dens in Homs and Idleb countryside and eliminated several terrorists, including a number of terrorist groups' leaders.

A military source told SANA reporter that terrorist, Hammoud al-Mohisin, leader of so-called "al-Muntasir Billah Brigade" was killed, in addition to other terrorists.

The source added that another unit of the Armed Forces destroyed terrorist dens and killed all terrorists inside.

The source pointed out that a unit of the Armed Forces arrested 11 terrorists southern Homs as they were fleeing from al-Qseir.

In Idleb countryside, units of the Armed Forces destroyed terrorist gatherings in Jisr al-Shughour countryside.

 Army Eliminates Terrorists in Jobar, Douma, Harasta, Ein Tarma, Darayya

Units of the Armed Forces carried out a series of qualitative operations and destroyed terrorist dens and gatherings in Jobar, Douma, Harasta, Ein Tarma, and Darayya in Damascus countryside.

An official source told SANA reporter that units of the Armed Forces clashed with armed terrorist groups in Jobar and killed and wounded scores of terrorists.

The source added that terrorist equipment and vehicles were completely destroyed in al-Shaifonia town and several terrorists were eliminated.

Meanwhile, Military Engineering Units dismantled a roadside bomb weighing 40 kilograms planted by terrorists on Damascus-Homs Highway.

In Ein Tarma, the Armed Forces destroyed a terrorist den and eliminated a number of terrorists.

In al-Otaybah town, army units discovered a number of tunnels which were used by terrorists to move and transfer weapons and ammunitions. 

The army restored complete control over al-Otaybah yesterday.

In Darayya city, units of the Armed Forces clashed with terrorist groups and destroyed a terrorist den, in addition to eliminating snipers.
