DAMASCUS, (SANA)- President Bashar al-Assad on Thursday issued Legislative Decree No. 25 for 2013 which provides for adding an article on notification to Legislative Decree No. 84 for 1953 which includes Procedural Law.
According to the decree, Article 33 is to be added to Decree No. 84 which allows notification through daily papers and the court's billboards and by text messages and e-mails.
Justice Minister: The Decree Is a Qualitative Leap
Minister of Justice, Najm al-Ahmad, said in a statement to SANA that the implementation of the ways of notification according to the decree constitutes a qualitative leap, as only few countries around the world follow these ways.
He noted that the Ministry will work on taking all the necessary measures to enforce the decree's provisions.
Decree on Desposition of Property
President al-Assad also issued Legislative Decree No. 26 for 2013 determining the cases where owners of lands located within the ratified general organizational chart are allowed or not allowed to dispose of them in any way of disposition of property interest.
Ghalawanji: The Decree Protects Property against Legal Dispute
In a statement to SANA, Deputy Prime Minister for Service Affairs, Minister of Local Administration Omar Ghalawanji highlighted the importance of the decree as it contributes to preventing illegal devolution of property and protecting it against loss or legal dispute.
