At Least Five Dead, 45 Injured in Thailand Bridge Collapse

TEHRAN (FNA)- At least five people were killed and 45 injured after a suspension bridge collapsed in Thailand's central province of Ayutthaya, a local television channel said.

The 31-year-old bridge over the Pa Sak River, some 90 kilometers (56 miles) North of Bangkok, was used only by pedestrians and motorcyclists.

There were about 100 people, when the 120 meters (395 feet) long bridge snapped sending them down in the river, RIA Novosti reported.

The amount of casualties could rise as more people were feared to be buried under the debris of the bridge.
