The Russian Foreign Ministry is demanding that NATO’s airstrikes on civil facilities in Afghanistan should be thoroughly investigated and that those who will are found guilty should be punished.
The Russian Foreign Ministry’s Authorized Representative for Human Rights Konstantin Dolgov says that killings of Afghani civilians by NATO forces have already become “a dangerous trend”, and called on NATO “to stop actions that destabilize the situation in Afghanistan and in the entire region around it”.
On Sunday morning, NATO’s air forces delivered a strike at a mosque in the Afghan province of Wardak. The mosque was full of believers, and at least 15 people were killed.
However, NATO’s commanders claim that the planes were bombing an arsenal of weapons.
